JUVENTUS WANT WILSHERE

There are strong rumours that Serie A champs Juventus are willing to pay for Jack Wilshere’s services. The Arsenal playmaker is yet to sign a new deal with the Emirates Stadium. He has been impressive in recent showings after returning from injury.

The 26-year old was reportedly offered a new deal but with a pay cut – well largely due to his injury proneness. Aside the uncertainty over the future of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, the club has a lot of issues to sort out. Francis Coquelin and Theo Walcott recently left the club and Arsenal are set to sign Borussia Dortmund man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis was pictured in Germany to complete the deal for the Gabon international, with Livescore Arsenal speculating he could be in the team for their big game against Swansea. He was spotted with the club negotiator Huss Fahmy and chief scout Sven Mislantat. Arsenal are seeking to complete the deal for 50 million Euros this January to boost their second half of the season.

Coach Arsene Wenger is confident that Wilshere will remain at the club despite all that has happened and is happening. He has started the last seven games for the Gunners in the league, playing full 90 minutes. Wenger said the player has a lot of prevention work to do with his well-documented fitness concerns but that he analyses the game better.

After the first leg clash with Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semis, there were fears that he was injured again but he has returned to feature in the rest of the game so far. He has quickly developed from being the forgotten man when he skippered the team against Bournemouth in the league. Wenger says the player is committed to the club so he sees him staying but they would have to fend off the Juventus interest with a good deal.
