WILSHERE IS MADRID, BARCA QUALITY

 

England international Jack Wilshere had the quality to play for either Barcelona or Real Madrid in the Spanish La Liga according to former Arsenal teammates Cesc Fabregas. Spanish international Fabregas was the Arsenal skipper when Jack Wilshere broke into the first team at the Emirates Stadium at the tender age of 16.


Cesc Fabregas talked about Jack Wilshere in an interview with the Daily Mail. The Spaniard said that Wilshere had the quality to play for Barcelona and Real Madrid  beforeadding that injury prevented the 28-year-old from fulfilling his huge football potentials. Jack Wilshere is presently withouta club after his West Ham United contract was terminated this summer.

Jack Wilshere spent a decade as a first team player at Arsenal before his exit in 2018 shortly after the arrival of Spanish tactician Unai Emery. His departure from the Emirates Stadium coincided with the exit of legendary manager Arsene Wenger. He left Arsenal to join fellow London team West Ham United on a free transfer. Wilshere signed a three-year contract upon joining the Hammers.

His stay at Arsenal was filled with various injuries and this stopped him from fulfilling his potentials. The injury problems continued into his West Ham United career until it was terminated with one year left on his contract this summer.He played just 16 games in the Premier League in the colours of the Hammers without scoring any goal. Wilshere had scored seven goals in his 125 Premier League appearances for Arsenal.

Jack Wilshere made his debut for the Three Lions of England as an 83rd minute substitute for Steven Gerrard during the international friendly match with Hungary on August 11, 2010. His first appearance for England came at the age of 18 years and 222 days thus making him the 10thyoungest player to feature for the Three Lions.
