HOW WILSHERE HAS FARED AT BOURNEMOUTH

Jack Wilshere was a hot prospect when he came through the Arsenal ranks before going on to feature for the first team at a young age and big things were expected of him. Jack Wilshere was expected to be a world beater with his world class talents but he has not been able to achieve this due toseveral injuries that stalled his career. His career hit a new low last summer when he was released by West Ham United despite the fact that he had one year left on the three-year deal penned when he signed for the Hammers as a free agent in the summer of 2018.

Jack Wilshere had spent all his football career at Arsenal before he opted to leave in search of guaranteed playing time. The England international left Arsenal to sign for fellow London team West Ham United for free.

Wilshere was a free agent for several weeks before English Championship side Bournemouth gave him a pay-as-you-play contract last month. The Arsenal Academy graduate left a positive lasting impression on the Bournemouth officials while he was on loan some years ago and that played a part in the free agent deal given to him. He has been able to resurrect his ailing career at Bournemouth with a series of impressive displays. The target for Bournemouth is to return to the Premier League after the first time of asking. The Cherries narrowly missed out on staying in the Premier League last season. Bournemouth are on course to secure one of the playoff spots in the English Championship this term though the preferable target would be the top two spots, which are automatic for promotion to the English top flight. Since he returned to Bournemouth, Jack Wilshere has scored one goal and one assist in four league games.
